Why would I use Flyspeck over a Site Framework like Mambo or Drupal?
Flyspeck products are built to work with your EXISTING site templates and content. Drupal and Mambo are more "site frameworks" that take over your whole site, your site is really built "in" them, not "around" them. These systems are great, but customization is difficult, and it can be overkill for many sites. They also require a database, which adds additional technical know-how and maintenance. These sites are also built around the "community" concept, they are fantastic for that particular need. Many people build fansites for example in Mambo. But there are many situations where you need more control, or have more specific requirements for the way a site is constructed. For the security conscious, Mambo sites are also notoriously hackable, since so many people use them and the source is all open.
Many of these sites are clones of one another, because the template architecture is complicated to understand. You are also locked into one of these systems once you implement it, because your site's backend infrastructure is built on it. It really depends on what you are trying to do with your site and what your client's requirements are.
Flyspeck uses the best open source components for handling the Browser Editor (FCKeditor) and rich, tested object oriented classes to handle the storage and templating. Many customers wind up not only adding content management to their site, but learn about better site construction and management techniques at the same time.
Flyspeck is the best solution for SOHO type sites, with the best scripting langauge on the web, PHP.
