What if I dont have <!-- #Editable --> Tags in my site?

Many people inquire about making their entire site editable. Although this seems like a good idea, in my experience it turns out to be a nightmare.

Restricting their editing capability to just the editable BODY of the page (not to be confused with the <body> container) is the wisest way to go.

What if they mess up your header or footer includes?

Or change the table structure of the page?

It is always a good investment to have in your pages some sort of container around your main-body content. This facilitates easy site redesigns later on when you want to scoop out the body content and plop it in a new template.

You can retrofit an existing site by doing a global Search and Replace to put in the begin and end Editable tags.
